The Austin Air Bedroom Machine is Austin's 5-stage purifier, built with bedrooms and chemically sensitive spaces in mind. It takes the full HealthMate Plus filtration setup—large and medium pre-filters, a deep 780+ cubic-inch bed of activated carbon and zeolite, and 60 sq ft of True Medical-Grade HEPA—and adds a fifth stage: a military-grade HEGA carbon cloth for extra capture of ultra-fine particles and gases. It captures 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns (99% at 0.1 microns), runs quietly on an all-steel chassis, and covers spaces up to ~1,500 sq ft.
How the 5-stage filtration works
Stage 1 & 2 — Pre-filters. Large and medium pre-filters capture dust, hair, pet dander, mold spores, and pollen.
Stage 3 — Carbon & zeolite bed. Over 780 cubic inches of activated carbon and zeolite adsorb VOCs, gases, and everyday odors.
Stage 4 — Medical-Grade HEPA. 60 sq ft of True HEPA, certified to capture 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns and 99% at 0.1 microns—smoke, dust, dander, pollen, and allergens.
